The daily hot & cold guessing game

The Concept

Each day, Enigma picks a mystery answer for 5 modes: People, Places, Animals, Objects and Mystery Mix. Every guess returns a temperature from 0% to 100% β€” no other hints. The closer you are, the hotter it gets.

How Temperature is Calculated

Every entry has hidden attribute tags. We compare your guess's tags to the answer's tags and calculate a match percentage. With 14–16 tags per entry, you get precise temperature steps.

Tips

Start broad. Pick entries from very different categories and eras to triangulate fast. Even a 5% score tells you what to eliminate.

Use autocomplete. Only names in the database return a temperature β€” autocomplete shows all valid entries.

Read the jump. If you go from 15% to 65% in one guess, you've found a shared cluster. Drill deeper.

Mystery mode: Test one entry per category in your first 4 guesses β€” whichever heats up fastest reveals the category. After 2 guesses at 30%+ you'll get a hint.
